چکیده
Genetic and epigenetic factors are considered to be critical for host-parasite interactions. There limited data on the role of such during human infections with Ascaris lumbricoides . Here, we describe potential genetic as determinants Th2 immune response A. in Brazilian children. Stool samples were collected from children detect by microscopy peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs) cultured whole cultures detection cytokines (IL-5, IL-10, IL-13) vitro Levels anti- IgE IgG4 measured plasma. DNA was extracted PBLs genotyped using Illumina 2.5 Human Omni Beadchip. Candidate genes associated responses identified SNVs these selected Haplotype, gene expression, analyses done identify associations responses. GWAS 1,189 WSB1 a candidate gene, IL-21R biologically relevant linked further analysis. Variants IL21R markers responses: increased -specific IL-5/IL-13 infected compared uninfected individuals. In children, but not expression suppressed methylation observed promoter region. This is first study show an association between variants / pathways could provide target treatment Th2-mediated diseases.

Ultrastructural observations of the in utero sperm of Ascaris lumbricoides reveal that it consists of a relatively clear, ameboid anterior region and a conical posterior region containing numerous surface membrane specializations, dense mitochondria, a lipid-like refringent body of variable size, and a dense nucleus which lacks an apparent nuclear envelope. No acrosomal complex was observed. Ps...
